This is my blog just simply dedicated to movies. Being I am a fan of 70s and 80s movies I will be reviewing quite a few of them from that time period, but I'll review more recent movies too. Being a fan of old video stores and the VHS tapes, especially the Big Box VHS with their trashy covers and claims you haven't seen a movie like this, I will also post about those titles and links to where they can be had on DVD, Blu-ray, and even on original VHS if I can find one.
Of special note is the subjects into which I categorize my posts (these are very likely to change):
- Movie Reviews - I will give a review with my opinions about the movie, a brief introduction to the plot (I don't give away endings or spoilers), and my rating of 1 to 5 Daggers.
- Video Trash - I introduce some old titles carried in video stores years ago and share a poster or box cover art, plus link for the title on DVD, Blu-ray, or VHS if still available.
- Classic Crypt - These are reviews and spotlights on classic horror movies and thrillers from the silent era up to the early 1960s.
- Cult Closet - A special tag I add to movie reviews of movies with a cult following.. Also for articles about cult movies.
- B-movie Basement - Reviews of older low budget movies, the likes that played on late late late movies.
- 90s Thrillers - A staple of video stores in the 1990s was direct to video thrillers & erotic thrillers. I use this tag for reviews of those movies.
- Indie Spotlight - A special tag I put on my movie reviews of independent films, sometimes in addition to the movie review subject tag, to highlight indie films. Also for articles on indie films.
Being this is a movie blog, I will add special subject areas as I develop them and add them to this list. In the sidebar I also have feeds showing the box office top five for the weekend and links to reviews on other sites.
